Toro Private Game Reserve, within the Greater Makalali and Pidwa Game Reserves in the Greater Kruger Area, is part of an ecosystem which is home to the largest and one of highest concentrations and diversity of wildlife species per acre on the planet. That includes the Big 5. This, coupled with long-term ethical and responsible conservation management practices, has resulted in animals which are perfectly habituated to human presence. Our vehicles and walks pose no threat, and you will be able to get really close to countless numbers of all animal and bird species present.
THE BIG FIVE:
The Big Five includes elephant, lion, leopard, buffalo, and the black rhino (white rhino are also prsesent), although some of which can be highly elusive and shy in nature, we have them in great numbers, and this makes for spectacular sightings.
