Accommodation & Facilities

  • 12 Suites – 8 face onto the waterhole in front of the lodge, and 4 are remotely set in the bush a short distance from the lodge
  • The lodge accommodates a maximum of 24 guests at any one time
  • Each Suite has an en-suite bathroom, with a shower, as well as a private outdoor shower and verandah
  • In-suite amenities include: a minibar (stocked with a selection of beverages on request), tea/coffee-making facilities, air conditioning, hairdryer, direct-dial telephone, electronic safe, and a mosquito net
  • Each of the 4 remote Suites also has its own plunge pool and affords guests the ultimate in privacy
  • On safari, game drive groups are kept small with a maximum of 8 guests per vehicle
  • The lodge features an open-air dining room and outdoor boma for traditional dining
  • Lodge facilities include a Safari Spa, offering a selection of therapies and beauty treatments

How To Get There

By Road:
  • Hoedspruit to Arathusa Safari Lodge – 80 km (approximately 1.5 to 2 hours by road)
  • Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport to Arathusa Safari Lodge – 165 km (approximately 3 hours by road)
  • Nelspruit to Arathusa Safari Lodge – 170 km (approximately 3 hours by road)
By Air:

Scheduled: Daily Airlink flights are available between Johannesburg/Cape Town and Hoedspruit/Nelspruit/Skukuza. Airlink Lodge Link then offers short flight transfers to Arathusa Airstrip. Road transfers between the airports, including Hoedspruit, and Arathusa can also be arranged.

Chartered: Federal Airlines offers private charters tailored to guests’ itineraries, as well as daily-scheduled flights from Johannesburg/Nelspruit to Sabi Sand Game Reserve
